Happy new year guys!
For our very first post of 2017 we’re gonna introduce you to some one you really need to know! Meet
Simisola Babalola, a 16 year old, self taught Nigerian photographer who has
been getting a lot of attention on social media lately! If you’ve seen some amazing photographs from
the Life is Eazi concert recently, odds are she’s probably the one who captured them:
P.S They are also Mr Eazi approved:
We sat down with Simi to talk about some of the work she’s
done so far:
Recently she’s worked on some amazing projects. Her
documentary “Proficient”, depicts the working lives of the sellers at Oluwo Chief market (popularly known as Epe fish market). She uses her documentary to express the power given to men and women at the market, showing how well skilled and hardworking they are towards their profession.
Her series of photographs titled "Felabration" was a spontaneous capture of the atmosphere at a celebration of Late musician Fela Kuti in Lagos.
If you want to find our more about Simisola, follow her socials.
She’s on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat as @Simzsco .
